I saw a news story today and it just clicked something in my brain that has been percolating for a while. This mental process is starting to challenge a lot of things that I have held dear and have always taken for granted. That I am a liberal progressive who believes in tolerance and believes that people who come to my country should be able to keep their culture, their religion, and their values. That was, to me, the litmus test of a free society. The story can be found here:
